Marketing Intern for Fall 2013
Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County offers an intern the
opportunity to work directly on marketing and communications projects in a
nonprofit environment and to be a part of our great mission.
Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County is part of a global,
nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to
put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope.
Currently enrolled student in a university program with a
major focus in marketing or a relevant content area. Must be a sophomore or
Available to work for 10 – 15 hours per week through the end
of the fall 2013 semester. Schedule can be flexible, but must be within our
office hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Fridays. Some Saturdays may be requested for special
event or build site coverage.
No compensation is offered for this internship, but Schenectady
Habitat will, to the best of its ability complete university requirements required
for the student to receive course credit.
Internship term can begin as soon as possible and run
through fall semester 2013.
Intern will report to the Volunteer Coordinator and work
closely with the ReStore Manager and Director of Development as needed.
Assist with creating both print and online marketing pieces
for special events and the ReStore.
Assist with creating online newsletter.
Assist with social media posting and updating the website.
Assist with posting pictures via facebook and the website.
